The blown bottles can be manufactured either using injection (stretch) blow molding, extrusion blow molding or other types of molding, in one (or two) stages. Typical end use for the bottles is for food applications, like beverages but also for medical and industrial applications like pills and detergents.

Milk bottles

Using plastics for milk bottles is a rather new application and is set to replace glass and carton. The white plastic milk bottles are typically manufactured in PET in a two-stage injection molding procedure, where first pre-forms are produced, which later are blown to the right size in the filling line. Important factors in this market are high opacity, reliable and secure production without mishaps as well as products without scratches.
