Rigid films perform better with Sukano Masterbatches. Rigid films are manufactured in a thickness range of typically 100 - 1'200 micron using film or sheet extrusion lines. Cooling is achieved by pulling the film through a set of cooling rolls before cutting takes place in line to produce flat cut sheet. This process provides an even and high quality film, stackable and suitable for further cut sheet processing such as offset printing.
Alternatively the film is wound up on a roll and well suited for further processing on thermoforming equipment to produce various kinds of packaging applications, such as drinking cups, food trays or thermoformed lids.
