Solid sheet is typically manufactured in a thickness range of 2 to 10mm on flat extrusion equipment. Double or multiwall sheet are extruded out of the die into a calibration tool for further cooling and to provide the desired dimensions.

In both cases typically a thin outer layer contains SUKANO^® Masterbatch technology to provide the desired properties of the final application such as glazing, roofing,housing or signage.

For good performance, typical requirements are:

Functional

UV-Masterbatches increase the durability of your application in outdoor use for applications such as roofing, signage or covers of wending machines. Slip/Antiblock Masterbatches can be used for optically non demanding applications, such as protection covers.

Long life through high performance UV protection
High level of UV absorber to reduce color change and loss in transparency
Reliable UV test data for a faster market introduction
Low volatility less cleaning, higher productivity

Optical

Solid sheet is typically manufactured in a thickness range of 2 to 10mm on flat extrusion equipment. Double or multiwall sheet are extruded out of the die into a calibration tool for further cooling and to provide the desired dimensions.

Matting agents are used to provide an antiglare effect for picture frames or signage. Light diffusion are added to high light bulbs of back light applications. White surfaces are widely used for non transparent applications or printed signage. Optical brighteners allow adjusting the color tint of transparent applications.

High gloss for a shiny surface
High opacity to hide appearance of the middle layer
Tailored color matching for specified applications
Matted surfaces antiglare effect offer better see through performance
Color shade correction of UV cap layer for back light applications
