To greatly improve the transparency of polypropylene (PP), Sukano has developed a taste and odour free Clarifier masterbatch which is approved for use in food packaging.

The product can be used with homopolymers and copolymers and results in significant improvements in transparency levels at dosages as low as 0.5 %.

In contrast to using ready clarified grades of PP or random copolymers, the new Sukano masterbatch allows the degree of transparency to be tailored to eachspecific requirement by adjusting the amount of masterbatch used. And it works equally well with Easy to process in both injection molding and extrusion lines, the transparency enhancer does not tend to cause deposits on the surface of the mold tool, and thanks to its high thermal stability, has a much wider processing window than comparable systems.

As with all Sukano masterbatches, the transparency enhancer can be suppliedas small, standard or large granules in quantities from as little as 25 kg (1 kg samples available).
